1939

Patricia Donnelly Harris (Miss Detroit) becomes our first Miss America!

1951

Muskegon, Michigan became the hometown of the Miss Michigan Scholarship Pageant, Inc.

1961

Nancy Ann Fleming (Miss White Lake) becomes Miss America.

1970

Pam Eldred (Miss Detroit) becomes Miss America.

1982

Shelley Taylor, Executive Director 2006-2018, becomes a volunteer.

1988

Kaye Lani Rae Rafko-Wilson (Miss Monroe) becomes Miss America.

1993

Became a 501c(3) with our participation with the Community Foundation for Muskegon County.

2006

Shelley Taylor becomes Executive Director (2006-2018).

2008

Kirsten Haglund (Miss Oakland County) becomes Miss America.

2014

Shelley Taylor, Executive Director, receives the National Academy of Honor Award from the Miss America Organization.

2018

Paula DeWall and Shari Graham become Co-Executive Directors.

2019

Peggy Lotridge became Teen State Director.

2020

Miss America moved from historic Atlantic City to Connecticut.
